Originally from the UK, Roger Fife began his career in 1988 as a recording artist with his band Ruby Blue. Ruby Blue released 4 albums over a 6 year period; they were signed to both Polygram and London's independent Red Flame. Roger has also been signed as a writer to Island Music and Virgin Music Publishing.
From the years 1988-1994, Roger produced and co-produced all 4 Ruby Blue albums. He subsequently went on to work in the studio engineering and mixing for other acts: Tricky, Norman Cook (Fat Boy Slim), Galliano, Desmond Dekker, The Manic Street Preachers, and for labels such as Island, Virgin, BMG and Chrysalis. Roger also worked on releases for the jazz label Candide and won the best new artist category in the UK for Ingrid Laubrock's album, "Who is it?"
Roger moved to New York City in 1998 and started producing full time. He has since then worked on a variety of projects for some of the major labels: MCA, Arista, Geffen, Island def Jam as well as a number of independent labels including Secretely Canadian’s Antony and the Johnsons. He has also worked with many unsigned artists and Indie labels including Fountainbleu, DP Music and Mar Trax.
In 2003, Roger produced the track, “American Pride,” for solo artist Robert Maynard which became a radio hit and entered the top 20 of the FMQB Billboard charts. It received heavy rotation on a large number of stations.
Roger has his own studio/production space on 21st in Manhattan. And he is always looking for new projects!

He has composed music for 2 new TV shows for ESPN2: “Quite Frankly” and “Afterthoughts,” where he composed all of the music including the opening and closing themes for each show. Roger has also worked on music for: HBO, FX Network, Court TV and The discovery channel.
